Women's Leadership Development Programs

Overview

To promote professional development and female leadership within AOFAS, two program opportunities are available. You may apply for one or both programs. 

1. Women's Leadership Coaching

Appy to attend leadership coaching sessions with J3P Health, a premier human and organizational development coaching firm specializing in healthcare.

This virtual program includes:

• 3 hours of personal 1:1 leadership advising with J3P advisors for up to 6 individuals from May-August 2025
• 1 grand rounds webinar led by J3P Health Founder and CEO Alan Friedman with the 6 program participants 
• 4 additional 1-hour webinars on core leadership topics (also open to all AOFAS members) quarterly from August 2025-April 2026
• Funding is available for up to 6 participants

J3P Health Leadership Schedule

• Orientation Webinar: May 2025
• Individual advising sessions and grand rounds webinar: May-August 2025
• 4 additional 1-hour quarterly webinars on core leadership topics: August 2025-April 2026 

Eligibility

• Ability to attend all 1:1 advisory sessions and grand rounds webinar. 
• AOFAS Active or Candidate membership with a current practice located in the United States or Canada. 

Funding for the 2025 Women's Leadership Development Coaching Program is provided by the Orthopaedic Foot & Ankle Foundation, supported by a grant from Stryker.

2. Women's Leadership Scholarships

Apply to attend the AOA/USC APEX Leadership Conference: Achieving Peak Performance.

This hybrid program includes:

• 2 in-person weekend events and 2 webinars focused on leadership communication.
• The scholarship covers program registration, lodging, meals, and stipend for travel-related expenses.
• Funding is available for up to 3 participants.

• In-Person Module 1: Saturday, June 7, 2025 @8:00am CT (Minneapolis, MN)
• Virtual Webinar: Monday, July 14, 2025 @7:00pm CT
• Virtual Webinar: Monday, August 11, 2025 @7:00pm CT
• In-Person Module 2: Friday-Saturday, September 26-27, 2025 (Los Angeles, CA) 

Eligibility

• Ability to travel to attend 2 in person sessions and attend 3 virtual webinars.
• AOFAS Active or Candidate membership with a current practice located in the United States or Canada.
